Lobbying

Lobbying is a form of advocacy with the intention of influencing decisions made by government officials. Coursera's lobbying catalogue teaches you the art and science of persuasion in legislative and executive arenas. You'll learn everything from the basics of the legislative process, understanding key stakeholders and strategies for influencing them, to advanced techniques and ethics of lobbying. The skillset extends to drafting and advocating for legislative proposals, building alliances, and effectively communicating your cause. This will equip you with the skills to work as a lobbyist, advocate, legislative aide, or anyone interested in shaping public policy.
